Dee tours London while Bobby goes skiing in Germany

Last week, Dave (who I used to work with in Boston) came to London for work and ended up staying the weekend! I ended up not having to work (yay!) so we toured all around - drinks in the City and dinner in Covent Garden on Friday, then on Saturday we caught the changing of the guards and did the one day version of the tour of London (which, needless to say, involved about 5 miles of walking - minimum). And it was a beautiful day - probably low 60's in February. Changing of the guards was impressive, but unfortunately mostly takes place behind the gates of the palace. It's about an hour long and the guard's band plays music for most of it. Believe it or not, they played Elton John and "a groovy kind of love" -ha. Wasn't expecting that.

Saturday night we met up with some other PwC friends (an made some new friends!) at Shannon's birthday party at a pub in Notting Hill/Kensington. We had lots of laughs, a couple zambuca shots and enjoyed being able to sit on the patio in mid-February since it was so gorgeous outside!

Bobby went skiing in Garmisch-Partenkirchen (???) in Germany, on the border of Austria with Katie and Andrew. Bobby will blog and put up pictures soon!
